Overview

CORT Events is adding a Director of Inventory to our leadership team in Las Vegas, NV!!

The Director of Inventory is a leadership position with responsibility of strategic management, purchasing, sourcing, and transportation of all rental assets while ensuring key objectives are met to support CORT's overall strategy and business plans.

This role is an advisor to the executive team and other business leaders regarding asset management. It would be in scope of responsibility to provide insights and strategies to meet financial performance expectations and customer needs. It would be expected that this role creates and spearheads the inventory strategies to achieve optimal rental asset utilization with minimal movement of product

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning, direction of team members, and overall inventory performance in terms of rental utilization and cost mitigation
  • Oversees and manages a team that is responsible for the internal movement of all products timely and cost efficiently through the organization.
  • Delegates responsibilities amongst functional managers or inventory personnel to achieve optimal operating results and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for product quality control and accuracy of inventory holdings.
  • Develop annual purchasing budgets based on analytics to improve overall inventory performance.
  • Develop the annual operating budget for the scope of responsibility including personnel, purchasing, and transportation planning.
  • Lead performance improving projects including acting as a project manager as needed for implementations related to inventory management.
  • Develop and deliver reporting to executive management on a regular cadence.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor key performance indicators to maintain healthy and goal-oriented operations.
  • Oversee inbound product operations and adhere to safety and productivity requirements.
  • Plans and orchestrates the removal and sale of old product lines.
  • Plans and oversees the integration of new product lines t o include training Districts on the assembly, bar coding, protection, transportat6ion, cleaning, and storage of product
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with MBA preferred or a minimum of 10 years experience in Invetory and Purchasing Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years in progressively larger and more complex leadership or operational positions.
  • Ability to accommodate 20% travel if local to Las Vegas, NV and up to 60% travel if remote
  • Strong knowledge and project management experience in the areas of product forecasting, demand planning and inventory
  • allocation processes and systems.
  • Significant time spent in geographically dispersed businesses known for effectively managing high transaction volume and SKU counts.
  • Experience in International Supply Chains Management is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business operations and strategic planning skills required.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, mathematics, computer, and organizational skills required.
  • Skilled in creative problem-solving techniques including quantitative and optimization modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to set and analyze budgets, the business plan and capital expenditures required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Verifiable experience in effectively deploying resources, systems, and personnel to enable the achievement of organizational objectives and support the overall growth of the company.
  • Microsoft Office experience with intermediate to advanced abilities within Excel, Access, and PowerBI a plus
