The Decentralized Material Support Supervisor will primarily organize, direct, control, accurately report
status of Government-owned assets used in support of the maintenance operation. Additional responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, ordering parts, monitoring inventory levels, forecasting and researching parts.
Ensuring all assigned personnel are cross-utilized in the duties of the Support and Supply disciplines.
Responsibilities may include:
* Responsible for contract Government Property Management and supply level accountability.
* Responsible for M1's Property Control Manual and Procedures and for training the workforce on
contractual responsibilities.
* Ensures site functions operate in compliance with the PWS, Company Policy, applicable AFIs, and
industry standards.
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work flow
processes.
* Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
* Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available to meet PWS
requirements.
* Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime.
* Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and
termination of employees.
* Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.
* Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
Qualifications and Experience:
* High school diploma or GED is required.
* Minimum of five years of USAF supply management experience and experience managing a supply
warehouse.
* Working knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications of
maintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.
* Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.
* Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.
* Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the government
customer.
* Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver's License.
* Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close
proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while
maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
Working Conditions:
* Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements.
* Will work in aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running
equipment and aircraft.
* Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, or overtime shifts as required.
* May work outdoors, sometimes in hot or cold weather.
* May be exposed to contaminants.
* May be exposed to hazardous conditions, such as when standing on scaffolding or climbing ladders
* Will be exposed to loud and persistent noise
* Will be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety toe footwear, safety
glasses, etc.
