At Worldpay for Platforms we are a global team of passionate Payments, Financial Services and software experts who provide vertical software companies with an all-in-one platform and a white-glove approach to capitalize on the opportunities for growth, innovation, and transformation within embedded payments.

What you will be doing

We are looking for an experienced product leader to fill our Director of Product role and lead the next-generation platform (Payrix) with which developers can easily integrate, adapt, configure, and extend to their software user's evolving needs. The ideal candidate is a visionary product leader that has a proven track record of executing ideas to drive strong business outcomes for their customers and stakeholders alike. As the Director of Product, your contributions will accelerate growth, spread our vision, and standardize our solutions across the industry. At Worldpay for Platforms we want to be a software first payments business serving other software companies. We are well funded, resourced, and backed by Worldpay to be the disruptor in the embedded payments space. We operate nimbly and need an experienced product leader to lead us into our next chapter to create our position in the global embedded finance space.

The Director of Product will report directly to the VP of Product and manage a team of Product Leaders and individual contributors.

  • Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing, inclusive workforce. Cultivate talent through development planning, coaching, employee retention, and recruiting new talent when necessary. Nurture leadership among team leaders and build succession. Provide direct, candid, and regular feedback to individuals promoting strong performance and proactively managing weak performance out of the organization.
  • Be accountable for product roadmaps, resource allocation, and release cadence within your group.
  • Lead the building of technical API first products through collaboration across engineering, operations, marketing, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead the direction and product decisions for our platform, in partnership with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure solutions meet the needs of the customer base.
  • Define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team's offerings.
  • Execute and provide continuous improvement against best-in-class product management practices.
  • Be accountable for product roadmaps, resource allocation, and release cadence.
  • Maintain a healthy balance between delivering the next innovative product and running/scaling the existing platform.
  • Have regular dialogue and interactions with our Software partners to get VOC to ensure our product designs and outputs meet their needs and are thinking about future needs.
  • Understand client behaviors, client segmentation, and competitive positioning to structure product value propositions for market success while inspiring cross-functional teams to deliver.
  • Continuous industry monitoring to maintain and enhance subject matter expertise, identify trends and changes in client and competitor behaviors and keep abreast of changing market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and establish/enhance the segments market positioning through articles, white papers, marketing communications, speaking engagements, etc.

What you bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in a product role and more than 5+ years of experience in people management.
  • Extensive experience building, developing, and scaling technical product organizations.
  • Leadership of an entire cross-functional organization from product vision through product development, delivery, and commercialization.
  • Proven strategic mindset with tangible experience in leading an organization focused on building of technical API first products consumed by software companies.
  • Highly analytical with a strong understanding of ROI and how to prioritize initiatives based on data-driven insights that support courses of action.
  • Takes a customer first approach to driving the Product lifecycle.
  • Drive product design and prioritization decisions across directly managed teams and work closely with teams across FIS's product portfolio.
  • Highly articulate and able to work effectively in a matrixed organization where required.
  • Ability to listen and build authentic connections with customers and teammates.
  • Passion for working in and managing a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Experience in a Product Leadership role within the embedded finance/payments space
  • B2B SaaS experience at a similar Stage (Series B to E/IPO) - growth stage
  • "Been there, done that" mentality - top-tier leader with a methodology/framework for how to scale and develop processes for an organization during a strategic transition.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $171,910.00 - $288,820.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
